NEW TURTLE TOP FLEET AT PALM TRANS CONNECTION

New Paris, Indiana – Turtle Top and its marketing and service partner Alliance Bus Group are pleased to highlight the recent delivery and training on a new fleet of Turtle Top Van Terra’s delivered to Palm Beach County Transit.

The Turtle Top Van Terra’s were procured from Alliance Bus Group Orlando through it’s Florida Department of Transportation contract. The buses included handicapped accessible lift equipment, passenger assist devices and data recording technology to start a long list of features all finished in bright Palm Beach colors. The vehicles were delivered throughout November and December by Alliance Bus Group and will conclude by the end of the calendar year. Shown in the photo are Charlie Beottiger, Assistant Director of Operations at Palm Trans Connection and Ron Jones, Director of Operations at Palm Trans Connection accepting the keys to a new Vanterra from Ron Obert, Government Contracts Manager at Alliance Bus Group and Bill Free, Sales Executive at Alliance Bus Group. The keys were presented after a training event administered by Turtle Top, Alliance Bus Group and several supplier partners. The training included vehicle orientation and operation, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting, operation resources and optional equipment. “Proper training and communication are paramount and we were humbled to have the opportunity to interact to this extent.  It went well”, stated Matt Sausaman, Turtle Top’s General Manager who attended the event. “I was very pleased with the event and felt it helped reinforce our motto along for the whole ride”, commented Ron Obert of Alliance. Turtle Top’s Director of Engineering and Quality Assurance Dusty Nabinger as well as experts from Alliance Bus, Q’Straint, Ricon and ACC trained agencies from all over the state during the four day event.

Turtle Top began producing Commercial Buses and Specialty vehicles in 1962 and continues to operate as a family owned company. Their New Paris Indiana facility employs 250 team members in 200,000 square feet of production, office and engineering space.
