Many of you are aware that  IPC / Turtle Top possesses a very clear Corporate and Spiritual Mission Statement.  Yesterday, November 4th, we assurred that both of those statements were lived out in a very tangible way.  We teamed with a national organization called “Feed My  Starving Children”.  Our team assisted by assembling meals that will get distributed around the world to feed children in need.

Rob gives brief directions as we prepare to head out.

Founded in 1987, Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding God’s children who are hungry in body and spirit. Their approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children, and then they ship these meals to nearly 70 countries around the world.

The packing room was a sea of yellow action.  IPC / Turtle Top teamwork at it’s best.

Over 90% of our entire team agreed to take time to be a small part in assembling

2.3 million meals.  IPC / Turtle Top donated over 500 man hours towards this great cause.  Together with about 100 additional local volunteers we packaged enough food to feed 543 kids for one year.  This has become an annual tradition that inspires each of us to step out of our comfort zone and see our production skills accomplish something bigger than lightning protection and transportation.  For more about this organization, click on the Mobilepack logo to visit their website.

Measuring.  Weighing.  Sealing.  Boxing.

As we finish clean-up, we hear the final tally.  920 boxes!
Food for 543 children for a year!
It’s a new record.
